The inherited working record incorrectly classified John H Havron under U.S. Navy despite his Company G, 1st Rhode Island Light Artillery unit. Both the current reference profile and official Army citation index identify U.S. Army and Sergeant. The service correction is canonical; the complete inherited record and citation remain preserved. The Society citation says “picked artillerymen,” while the Army and inherited versions say “picket artillerymen.”
