The current reference profile structures the action at White Oak Swamp on June 30, 1862. The official Army roll documents both White Oak Swamp on June 30 and Malvern Hill on July 1. One canonical award therefore retains the controlled two-day action range and both historical places; the inherited July 1/Malvern Hill rendering and its erroneous United Kingdom geocode remain preserved.
